At our ward Christmas party Santa showed up for a visit with the kids. We waited for the line to die down so we were one of the very last to see Santa. The room was nicely decorated with a tree and such, though a little dark. They also were prepared with a chair next to Santa. Very smart. Sara was excited to go in but froze at the door. She absolutely did not want to sit on his lap or even the arm of the chair. He was a stranger and she was up past her bedtime; so she was tired. She was okay on my lap though. Santa chatted just a little bit with her and we got this picture. Then she got a gift form Santa... with her name on it! Pretty cool! She didn't care about opening it so we saved it for Christmas. I'm sure she'll warm up to Santa as she gets older.

My kids never did warm up to Santa...if you think about it, it's really quite odd that we even encourage our children "sit on Santa's lap" or "talk to him"
We've done just fine without his influence in our lives :)
