Dispelling Mormon Folklore

Ok, I don't really like to dispel Mormon folklore. In fact, I think folklore can be one of the best indicators of a culture's values, beliefs, etc. However, when there is something that is passed around that goes against good reason, sometimes it is good to see the full picture.

This past week, I have received from several people a supposed "transcript" of a talk President Packer gave on October 12. Unfortunately, but rather common for things like this, the transcript is no more than a "hoax" passed on by someone whether they have good or bad intentions. A link on Wikipedia, which sums up the situation well.

Have a great day everyone!
